When you spend as much time touring as we do, you quickly learn that leisure vehicles pick up dirt at the most inconvenient times. Muddy roads, winter grime, storage dust, tree sap – it all builds up, often when you are nowhere near a water supply. So when I was given a new product called Dry Sparkle to test, promising a waterless, biodegradable, and scratch-free clean, I was keen to see whether it lived up to expectations. I have put together a YouTube video to accompany this blog, showing the product in action and sharing my honest first impressions.

What is Dry Sparkle?

Dry Sparkle is a waterless caravan and motorhome cleaner designed for touring situations where access to water is limited.

It is formulated with a biodegradable blend of polymers and surface-active ingredients that lift dirt away from the surface, creating a low-friction layer so you can wipe grime off without scratching. Once buffed, it leaves behind a protective polymer film that enhances shine and improves water beading. The kit includes:

  • 1 x 300 ml bottle with reusable trigger
  • 1 x 300 ml refill bottle
  • 2 x high-quality microfibre cloths (blue for cleaning, green for buffing)

Why Waterless Cleaning Matters

For many caravanners and motorhomers, traditional washing can be a challenge. Campsites often discourage excessive water use, storage yards rarely have external taps, and winter touring makes hose-work even less appealing. A good waterless cleaner solves all of that. Dry Sparkle’s 100% biodegradable formulation means it is kinder to the environment than conventional detergents, which is something I always look for when reviewing caravan care products. If you are trying to reduce water consumption and still keep your caravan looking presentable, this is a strong option.

How It Works

The process is simple and quick:

  1. Spray the product onto the panel and give it a few seconds to work.
  2. Wipe the area using the blue microfibre cloth to lift the dirt.
  3. Use the green microfibre cloth to buff the surface to a shine.
  4. Repeat across the caravan or motorhome until clean.

The key here is letting the product break down the grime first – that is what minimises scratching and gives that smooth wipe-off finish.

My Hands-On Experience

I tested Dry Sparkle on my caravan that had a typical touring mix of dirt: road film, splashes, and general storage dust. What stood out immediately was how easily the grime lifted away. The microfibre did most of the work, and the product felt slick rather than sticky, which made buffing fast and effortless. The shine afterwards was noticeable, but more importantly, the surface felt protected – that slight, wax-like finish that suggests better resistance to future dirt adhesion.

Value for Money

It is available on www.drysparkle.com for £24.50, however you can get a 15% discount using my code TTT15 (I do not receive any commission for this).

The kit delivers several caravan/motorhome cleans – plus it includes a refill. It is compact, portable, and ideal for touring where water is not readily available.

Final Thoughts

For anyone frustrated by dirty panels on site, or who stores their caravan or motorhome without easy access to water, Dry Sparkle is a practical, eco-friendly solution that genuinely performs. It will not replace a full wash forever, but it absolutely fills the gap between them and keeps your outfit looking cared for.
